Let’s just say, I can’t believe it took me so long to book a photoshoot. The last time G-man and I had professional photos taken was at our wedding (and we’re going on 10 years now!)
Like most people, I don’t actually like being infront of the camera, but I knew I wanted to remember this phase of our life. When it was just the two of us and our pups (and it’s extra sweet having pics of the bump)
There are so many unknowns with your first child – you know your life is going to change, but you have no idea what that change is going to look and feel like.
I look back at these pics at these two people looking back at me , and I feel like they are like old distant friends. Sometimes I miss them, the carefree life we had, but at the same time I wouldn’t change a thing about where we are now.
Things are messy, chaotic and interrupted, but it’s also filled with much more meaning, purpose and joy.
A MASSIVE shoutout to the incredible Andrea Cronje for our pics, we love them, and we think we need to do another one when out little dude turns one 😉
So, if you’re reading this, book that shoot. Not because it’s cool or so you can post on the gram, but because your memories matter.
